The man behind the blog

Growing up I was fortunate enough to have one of the hardest working men I have ever met as a father. It was having this kind of father figure in my life that set the example of what being a husband and father should be. Now, 25 years old I am that husband and father not only trying to live up to the standards set by my dad but with the other hardest working man in my life my father-in-law. In order to be “the example” I have taken on what some would consider being “too much”. My weekly schedule consists of 5 am workouts, a day job, running a woodworking business, managing this blog, finishing my BA in Homeland Security, and most importantly spending time with family. How do I maintain such a busy schedule without becoming overwhelmed and breaking down? The key is constantly telling myself to “stay the course”. The first time I heard the phrase “stay the course” was in the military and it immediately stuck with me. Staying the course to me means never giving up on my goals. It just so happens to reach the goals I have set means taking on an absurd amount of tasks all at once. Everyone hits a wall, life is a bitch, but as long as you stay your course things will work out.
